For some time now we have been looking at our design and development processes. We have also been talking to trusted advisers, clients and partners about different elements of this and have finally come up with a form of words to describe our revised processes. Our desire is to ensure that the way we work should allow us to play to our technical strengths and our creative culture whilst making sure that our partners and clients needs and requirements are always at the centre of our design and development activity.

image The PDF file here is the latest version of this and we are now using this with clients. However, we welcome further comment and input as we will continue to review our processes.

Thanks for making this very interesting document available. I’m engaged in research into working practices and process as part of the development of a personal project. This is a really useful insight, thanks for sharing.

“we are often engaged with trying to help our clients make delightful and usable products out of strong but sometimes ‘hard-to-express and specify’ thoughts.”

Delight is an all too often under-valued outcome of creative practice. How refreshing to see it flagged as a target for agency, client and end-user.

I am glad that the document has proven useful. It is still fairly early days in terms of Soda’s adoption of ‘agile’ but it is already paying dividend in terms of identifying and addressing potential ‘expectation conflict’ early in development.
